An educational visit to Crafts Museum

An educational visit to Crafts Museum, Delhi was organised for the students of classes VII, VIII, IX and X. Children were fascinated to see the exquisite display of stone & wooden carvings and craft & handloom materials.It aimed at familiarising the children with what they could expect to see at the museum, chiefly India’s traditional handicrafts. The visit offered a novel opportunity for the students to observe the different art forms on display in the numerous galleries- Tribal and Rural Crafts Gallery, Gallery of Popular Culture, Textile Gallery, Gallery of Courtly Crafts, etc., to name a few. The major objective was to connect the students & to develop a sense of appreciation among them for the rich craft , textile & heritage of India. Some glimpses.

EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI MEMORIAL

S.I.S. as a part of on- going AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV organised an educational visit for the students to Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial on 04 October 2023. The museum offered an opportunity to witness the display of a rich collection of original relics, letters and correspondence all belonging to Shastriji. This memorable visit to Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial was a novel, enriching and enjoyable experience for the students.

Students were taken to an educational trip to Eternal Gandhi Museum to pay Tribute to our Baapu ,on 2nd October 23.
They visited the places where Gandhi ji stayed  during his visits to Madurai.
 
The museum Showcased his life through his letters,photographs and other Artifacts that give a glimpse into the life of father of Nation.

EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO KIRAN NADAR MUSEUM OF ARTS

SIS organised an educational visit for newspaper subscribers of class XI to “Kiran Nadar Museum of Arts" on 10th March, 2023.
The Museum's art gallery showcased an array of paintings from different countries and cultures around the world. The students were mesmerized by the pure serenity and artistic appeal of the art work. Moreover, the students were also given a canvas to try their hands on drawing and painting. Overall it was an enriching learning experience for everyone.

SCHOOL PICNIC CLASS III-VIII

SIS planned a fun-filled picnic to Eco Adventure Camp, Najafgarh for students of classes III- VIII on February 11,2023.Samites experienced the joy of achieving and overcame their fear which is indeed crucial for their holistic development.There were fun rides, scrumptious food , beverages, adventure activities and magic show which enchanted the young minds. Students were overjoyed and returned with memories which will be cherished forever.
 

PICNIC TO ADVENTURE ISLAND - CLASS XII

Almost all creativity involves purposeful play.
 
The students of Grade XII of SAM International School, Dwarka were taken for a class picnic to Adventure Island, Rithala, Rohini.  The children were very happy and excited to go for the picnic. On reaching the adventure park, they were entertained by dance performances and alluring rides. The day was well spent singing and interacting with each other. They enjoyed mouthwatering breakfast and lunch followed by refreshments. The visit was a memorable one and it motivated the students to be responsible and maintain cleanliness around them. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school rejuvenated.

ECO ADVENTURE CAMP

"Trips and excursions provide great opportunities for students to grow and develop the practice of togetherness, cooperation and self reliance in an endeavour."

 
To achieve the same objective, a thrilling adventure fun trip was organized to "Eco Adventure Camp", Najafgarh for classes PS to II on 27 November, 2022.
 
Apart from sumptuous breakfast, lunch and evening snacks SAMites participated enthusiastically in various adventurous activities such as zip line, rope climbing, Burma bridge, trampoline and exciting camel ride, tractor ride, charkha weaving, pottery wheel, etc. 
 
The children also enjoyed the magic show and came back rejuvenated and enriched with lots of sweet memories to cherish for lifetime.

LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI MEMORIAL VISIT

22nd September- LAL BAHADUR SHASHTRI MEMORIAL

SIS as a part of its on-going celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, organised an educational trip for newspaper subscribers of classes 7th and 8th to 'Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial' on 22nd September, 2022 during school hours.
SAMites on the upcoming birth anniversary of India's 2nd Prime Minister, Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri, prayed for peace and peaceful development all over the world and paid sincere gratitude to the real heroes who sacrificed their lives.
The research centre enlightened the students with a rare collection of books and materials on subjects like history, economics , sociology, political science, public administration, philosophy and religion.
Overall it was an enriching learning experience for everyone.

GANDHI MEMORIAL VISIT

20th September-“Gandhi Memorial”

SIS organised an educational visit for newspaper subscribers of class 6th and 7th to “Gandhi Memorial” on 20th September during school hours.
The National gallery showcased a large number of paintings and personal belongings of Mahatma Gandhi Ji . The gallery included information on political leaders and various national movements launched by him. The students could correlate the relevance of non- violence and how non- violence is the weapon of strength.
Overall it was an enriching learning experience for everyone.

ANNUAL PICNIC -DILLI DARSHAN

Annual Picnic  -Dilli Darshan
Good memories and crazy friends make the best picnic . Dilli Darshan was planned and organised for little cuties of Pre-school & Pre-primary on November 20, 2018. Children's park was our first point where children had blast in swings and green parks. Still energetically they moved to India Gate.
Doll's Museum was all together a different experience,  as dolls of different countries and states we could see. Our last destination was Bal Bhawan where kids took ride in train. Students were given their return gifts and were bid good bye .

Iskcon Temple

Trips and excursions act as stress busters and help in breaking the monotony. A trip to ISKCON TEMPLE was organized for the students of Pre Primary and  Classes I and II. The children were briefed about the life of LORD KRISHNA. They chanted 'HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA'. The children enjoyed the tranquil environment of the temple. Such visits teach us to tolerate and respect every religion.

Railway Museum

Train ride has always fascinated the kids. To enjoy the train ride, kids visited railway museum where they enjoyed the ride on Joy train followed by viewing of different models of train. They were also shown a miniature land of trains where they were shown a platform, track, station, clock and different trains. This increased their vocabulary and observation skill.

Hospital visit

Keeping ourselves clean and germ free was the main focus of hospital. The people who help us in hospital were introduced to the Pre-School and Pre-Primary kids along with the tools they use. Children were told the importance of keeping themselves healthy which will avoid doctors and medicines intake.

Vegetable Mart Visit

Fruits and vegetables play an important role towards a healthy life, so to gain knowledge related to healthy food, a visit to vegetable mart was planned. The colour of vegetables and fruits helped the students to know that they are full of proteins and carbohydrates which are very essential for our body. Children were made aware about the cleanliness and also they should wash the fruits and vegetables before consuming.

Metro Station Visit

Train as a means of transport has always fascinated the kids. Its whistle and the track have always drawn the kids attention. So keeping this in mind a visit to metro station was organized for pre-primary wing where they learnt the working of customer care and how token card is used. The process of boarding the train and how one should keep the safety measures in mind were taught to them.

Post Office Visit

It is always believed that children learn better by doing things, so a visit to post office was organized for pre-primary wing and for class I. The importance of letters stamps, post box, and post man increased their vocabulary and observation skill.
 They got hands on experience on how a letter reaches the addressee from the time it is sent by the addresser. The little Samites also bought post cards and wrote letters to their parents which were later posted to them.

School Visit

School is the first place which helps the kids to enhance visual Language skill. Children of Pre Primary Wing visited the school and learnt the importance of Reception area, Library, Fee counter, Cyber Lab and Playground.

Our students got a chance to go for an educational trip to ' Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum', situated on Tees January Road, New Delhi. This museum has a very rich collection of original relics, books, journals, documents, photographs, audiovisual materials, exhibition art pieces and other memorabilia, closely related with Mahatma Gandhi. The trip commenced with a visit to Martyr’s column, where Gandhi ji was assassinated. Students came across a room, where Mahatma's belongings were preserved. Exhibits were the amazing aspect wherein students could see musical bamboo poles, charkhas and a multi -hued kaleidoscope carrying Mahatma's message and a xylophone that played Gandhi's favourite rhythm.
